Robert Carr
Commander - Air Force

Commander Carr served for 29 years in the Alabama Air National Guard - 187th Fighter Wing.  He was deployed two times to Iraq.  Once in 2003 for the start of Operation Iraqi Freedom and again in 2006.  Other deployments include Korea and Argentina.  He is a Lifetime member of The Veterans Of Foreign Wars of The United States Smith-Wynn Post 96 where he serves as the Post Commander.  In addition, Carr serves as the VFW Department of Alabama District 5 Quartermaster.  He is also a member of The American Legion Post 2 in Montgomery.

Commander Carr worked in the insurance field for 30 years.  First with his father, and then starting his own Insurance Agency with Farmers Insurance Group for 22 years.  He has served 20 years as a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors where he served as President of the South Central Alabama Association and served on the Board of Directors for N.A.I.F.A. Alabama.

Commander Carr has also been involved in community service for the past 31 years as a member of the Dixie Lions Club of Montgomery Alabama where he was elected President three times and is currently the Club Secretary as well as the 1st Vice President.

Commander Carr has attended Frazer United Methodist Church for 26 years where he is active in the traditional church choir.  He sang with the Frazer Good News Singers as well as the Frazer Men's Quartet.

Commander Carr is married to his wife of 26 years and has one daughter.
